Projecting the winning power of motorbike racer Valentino Rossi onto the youthful, colourful, urban denim world of Energie (clothing brand). The 2001 500 cc world championship was the inspiration for an advertising campaign which “went viral” by the standards of the time, thanks to its highly recognisable graphic identity. This was evident both in small ads for La Repubblica (a major Italian national daily newspaper) and in the brand’s popular brochure. The emphasis was on speed, details and colour.
